Yeah...more purses....

Like it says...here are some more purses. These I did with no real pattern. I've got one more I'm making like this and then the rest are like the original ones. For theses instead of buying just the fabric at the store I got a pack of quilt squares off of Ebay in purples, one in greens, and then one in butterflies. Now for the purple and green I had no clue what I was getting. They were literally one of each of the 40 squares and none of them were the same. A little frustrating trying to get a good combination...but I think they came out pretty good.

More Purses

I finished one of the twin's purses last night. They are going to be in the same fabric but I'll probably change up how I piece them together slightly to make them somewhat Unique. I had gotten the fabric on clearance and thought it was perfect for little girls who's favorite colors are pink and purple. There was a reason this fabric was on sale. OMG did it suck to work with. It was better once I had the fusible fleese or interfacing on it...but other then that it was fraying and pulling. Definitely not fun!

One down...about 6 more to go *thunk*

Purses

Holy Crap I did it. I had gotten this pattern for a purse. It looked really cute on the site. Well I went to the store and my oldest son found this fabric.

Well I finally finished it tonight... Here are a few pics. I have some more fabric to do some for my nieces and one for my MIL as well. This first one is for a good friend Tara.

Sadie has already said she wants one...I just need to get a few more supplies and I'm good to go on making the rest!

My first sewing project...

(I have finished the below mentioned pieces, but I'm not posting about them yet...I want to do these in order :P)

This was my first sewing project. I'd seen the patchwork dresses on craftsters.org and really wanted to try one. I admit to cheating a bit on the fabrics..I bought a pre-made pack for the colors, and then added the solid broadcloth pieces of brown and blue myself. Yes, a bit of a cheat, but who cares *G* This dress is for my K, she'll get it on Christmas, even though it's a wee bit big on her still (her sister will wear it, I'm sure *lol*). The dress is cotton and broadcloth for the patchwork, muslin for the lining (cheap and soft...my favs :P)

I took the plunge...

Well, I've been putting it off for about 2 weeks now. I've had these ideas in my head for two jumpers, one for each of the girls for Christmas...and tonight I took the plunge.

Working without a template (or a net), I created two patterns. I have cut out the patterns...and cut out the fabric. Tomorrow I start attempting to piece it all together (children willing, that is...they ARE sick)...and see if I did it right or if it will all go BOOM in my face *lol* Wish me luck!

More Pumpkins

I've been meaning to post these somewhere but keep forgetting. Sadie's post reminded me to do it :) These were done by my boys, My Mom and I. (My boys being the kids and the hubby) The Alien one was Ryan's and I was a bad Mom and forgot to get a good "lit" picture. And the phantom was Patrick's

Carvings Carvings...

And pumpkin seeds all over my kitchen!! I carved pumpkins tonight. Probably the best I've done yet. I'm afraid the picture is a little blurry because I can NEVER take good pictures in the dark...they are always blurry!!

The one on the right was designed by Denver...the one on the left by me. We DO have a third pumpkin (another small one), but I'm not yet sure if it will get carved tomorrow. We'll see how the day goes!!

Happy Halloween!!
