(I have finished the below mentioned pieces, but I'm not posting about them yet...I want to do these in order :P)
This was my first sewing project. I'd seen the patchwork dresses on craftsters.org and really wanted to try one. I admit to cheating a bit on the fabrics..I bought a pre-made pack for the colors, and then added the solid broadcloth pieces of brown and blue myself. Yes, a bit of a cheat, but who cares *G* This dress is for my K, she'll get it on Christmas, even though it's a wee bit big on her still (her sister will wear it, I'm sure *lol*). The dress is cotton and broadcloth for the patchwork, muslin for the lining (cheap and soft...my favs :P)

I took the plunge...
Well, I've been putting it off for about 2 weeks now. I've had these ideas in my head for two jumpers, one for each of the girls for Christmas...and tonight I took the plunge.
Working without a template (or a net), I created two patterns. I have cut out the patterns...and cut out the fabric. Tomorrow I start attempting to piece it all together (children willing, that is...they ARE sick)...and see if I did it right or if it will all go BOOM in my face *lol* Wish me luck!

Carvings Carvings...
And pumpkin seeds all over my kitchen!! I carved pumpkins tonight. Probably the best I've done yet. I'm afraid the picture is a little blurry because I can NEVER take good pictures in the dark...they are always blurry!!
The one on the right was designed by Denver...the one on the left by me. We DO have a third pumpkin (another small one), but I'm not yet sure if it will get carved tomorrow. We'll see how the day goes!!
Happy Halloween!!

My First Knitting Project
This was my first knitting project I completed a couple of months ago. It's still lacking buttons (to this day)...but I still love it...it's VERY warm...
